It all began many many years ago.......

A tip for longevity by Dr.Salim Ali ( At Ranganathithu Bird Sanctuary)

Though this photo was clicked in the year 2010, I had visited Ranganathittu way back in 1999. The wordings on the board had really made a huge impact on me. My love for watching birds began a year earlier or so, when I had enrolled for a trail to Tungareshwar organized by BNHS . The trail was led by Deepak Apte. That nature walk threw open a different world altogether for me. Till then , my world outside my family was the press, newspapers, magazines,ad layouts, dead lines, client and media meetings...So the trail on a rainy day, so well led and explained by Deepak Apte was also the beginning of a major decision I had to take in life....When I look back , the trail was my calling, and I knew where I wanted to be and what I should be doing in future...

With a huge encouragement and support from Mr. Suhas Aroskar and Mrs.Vimal Aroskar , whom I had met during one of the WWF outings, I decided to venture into an unknown yet exciting domain of wildlife tourism.Post my marriage  Subir has been a pillar of strength in all my pitfalls and rewards in this venture.

Motherhood is a experience I will cherish, and whenever I look at our daughter Avantika I can't thank god enough  for the lovely gift bestowed on us.I have been truly lucky and blessed to have someone like Shashikanth Golthaje and his family as an extended support system, for their love and support in looking after Avantika whenever I travelled .

And now whenever, I look at this photo, it makes me feel nice that I took a right decision at the right time and it makes me feel proud of my journeys so far with IT Nature Club.

This blog is going to be about few of my journeys so far , and the ones which I will be making in the future...
